The Scan & Pay App
Use the app to pay and view your receipts. You do not need it to pay — scanning a QR Pass with your phone camera opens the payment page in your browser — but the app keeps your receipts together and lets you set up PayTo once, so later payments are confirmed in the app.

Two apps, similar names. This page is about Scan & Pay, the customer app. If you take payments in a shop you want Scan & Pay POS instead — see Mobile POS App.
There is no iOS build yet. On iPhone, scan the QR Pass with your camera to use the payment page at pay.scanandpay.com.au.
What you can do in the app
- Scan to pay. Open the scanner, point it at the merchant’s QR Pass, and confirm the amount before anything is sent.
- Set up PayTo once. Follow the steps in the app to set up a PayTo agreement. You can see, pause or cancel the agreement in your banking app at any time.
- Keep your receipts. View your receipts in the app.
- See every payment. Your activity is grouped by month, across every merchant you’ve paid with Scan & Pay.
- Manage your account. Use Settings to manage your account and close your account at any time.
Account and security
Follow the steps in the app to create an account or sign in.
You do not need to give Scan & Pay your bank login. Review your PayTo agreement in your banking app.
What it costs you
Scan & Pay does not charge shoppers a fee for payments. Merchants pay a per-transaction fee.
