How Scan & Pay Works
Every Scan & Pay transaction runs through the same connection layer, no matter where the QR Pass shows up. We call it QR Pass — one QR Pass, any screen, the same dual-verified handshake between merchant and customer every time.
QR Pass: one QR, any screen
QR Pass isn’t tied to a single device or checkout flow. The same connection mechanism renders wherever a customer needs to pay:
Smart POS terminal
The QR Pass renders on the terminal screen at checkout — no separate device needed.
Online checkout
The same QR Pass appears on the WooCommerce or custom checkout page for online orders.
Payment link
Share a one-off link by SMS or email — the customer opens it to see the QR Pass and pay.
Static paper QR
Print once — a counter sticker or table tent QR Pass works for tips, invoices, or fixed-price items.
Dual-side verification
QR Pass connects the payment on both sides at once — neither party waits on the other or re-checks a bank statement.
Customer side
Authorises the payment in their own banking app via PayTo PayID, then sees instant confirmation on the same screen they scanned from.
Merchant side
The terminal or dashboard updates the moment funds are confirmed — no manual reconciliation, no waiting on the customer to show a receipt.
Digital receipt
After the payment is completed, the customer can open a digital receipt immediately — no account required. If they want payment history, refund updates, and wallet access over time, they can sign in and use the wallet for PayTo agreements or one-time PayTo PayID payments.
