How to Use PayID

Scan the merchant's QR code with your phone camera to open pay.scanandpay.com.au, then follow the instructions to complete payment via your banking app.

What is PayID?

PayID is like a nickname for your bank account. Instead of using BSB and account numbers, you can use your phone number, email address, ABN, or organisation ID to receive payments.

Key benefit: You'll see the recipient's name before you send, helping protect against fraud, scams, and mistaken payments.

Payments made to a PayID are typically sent in under a minute through the NPP network, even between different financial institutions.
